Illustrator for the Adventure of Pink Elephant series, Kazuo Miyagi is a retired economist, with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he grew up with lots of manga. When not drawing elephants he practices tai-chi and reads Peanuts. He loves children, animals, and classic music. He lives in the Southwest with his wife Lynn and two dogs, Lily and Skip. The inspiration for character Mandy Evans in the Pink Elephant series and sister to author Christine Amamiya, Amanda serves as head anchor for her school’s broadcasting channel. An accomplished pianist, guitarist, flautist, and pipe organist, Amanda also composes and has won numerous awards for her musical talents.
